Becoming an audiobook narrator has been an exciting and rewarding experience.
Each book is a new challenge, it’s trying to understand why a user chooses that title and do everything possible to make them listen to it and catch them in the first few minutes. It is about understanding the characters, imagining how they want to tell their story, but above all it is about honoring the author’s work, because regardless of the type of text, the number of pages, whether it is fiction or non-fiction, writing a book is a task that not just anyone can do.
It is also to participate in a process in which many people are involved, from the author, the publisher, the studio, the coordinators, the additional voices, the proofreaders, the director who accompanies you, engineers, producers, distribution platforms, etc., it is a huge and wonderful team behind each narrative.
To be able to dedicate 4 hours or so to reading without distractions and… and to get paid! is without a doubt the best job in the world.
